A great new project working in partnership with Sound it Out at Perry Beeches Secondary School. Building a big band and linking it with other big bands in primary schools within the area that are part of the project. Exploring instruments and acting as a transition project between primary and secondary schools.
The Shine programme will create innovative and ambitious music programmes in five Birmingham constituencies, and will recruit over 800 young people to the 18 month programme.The Shine ProjectSound It Out Community Music has received funding to develop and deliver a citywide £0.5mil programme of music activity for young people.
We are going to be based in community centres providing musical activities.
Longwill School for the Deaf
An interesting project working with a primary school of deaf children teaching them about rhythm and percussion.
